Jira
LevelFour connects to Jira over OAuth. From a savings recommendation you file a Jira issue to track the work, so the change is scheduled and owned before anyone touches production.
Jira is on every plan.
Prerequisites
- An Atlassian account with access to the sites and projects you want issues in.
- Your Atlassian organization allows third-party apps. Some sites require an admin to approve one.
Connect
Open Settings, then Integrations
In the dashboard sidebar, click Settings, then Integrations, then the Jira tile.
Authorize in Jira
Click Connect Jira. Jira opens in a new tab and asks you to approve access for your Atlassian sites. Approve it.
Come back to the dashboard
The panel reads Connected with your site name.
You can now create an issue from a savings recommendation.
Choosing where issues go
Set the project and issue type on the Jira panel. Those are the defaults every issue uses.
Removing access
Click Disconnect on the Jira panel. Issues already created stay in Jira.
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | What to do |
|---|---|
| The panel waits for you to authorize | The Jira tab was closed before you approved. Click Try again |
| Your site is missing from the approval screen | You do not have access to it, or an Atlassian admin has to approve third-party apps first |
| Creating an issue fails after connecting | Check that your Atlassian account can create issues in the chosen project and issue type |
