New Relic

New Relic's usage API returns no cost or currency field. This connector estimates dollars by multiplying ingested GB and user counts by the rates you enter. It will not reflect anything your contract prices differently.

Prerequisites

A New Relic organization on usage-based pricing.
Access to your organization's reporting account (usually the first account created), to create the user key.
Your contracted rate per GB ingested, and your Full Platform and Core user rates, in USD.

Connect

Create a user key in New Relic

A New Relic user key is tied to the person who created it. Use a dedicated integration user, since the key stops working if that person leaves.

Add it to LevelFour

Open Connect Providers, select New Relic, and paste the user key, your reporting account ID, your region (US or EU), and your contracted rates. Click Add User key.

Confirming it worked

The connection moves to Connected. Your first data appears within a day.

Rotating or removing access

Create a new user key in New Relic, paste it into Connect Providers, then delete the old key.

Removing access

Disconnect New Relic under Connect Providers, then delete the user key from New Relic.

Troubleshooting

Symptom	What to do
Spend does not match your invoice	This is an estimate. New Relic's own usage data is approximate and will not reconcile exactly to your bill
The connection fails for an EU organization	Confirm you selected the EU region under Connect Providers. US and EU accounts use different endpoints
The user key stops working	The key belongs to the person who created it and breaks if their account changes. Create it under a dedicated integration user
