OnboardingConnect Providers
Redis Cloud
Prerequisites
- A Redis Cloud account with the REST API enabled. An account Owner must turn this on: it is off by default.
- A user with the Viewer role, to create the user key.
- Cost report access may need a Redis support request. See Troubleshooting.
Connect
Enable the API and create keys in Redis Cloud
As an account Owner, enable the REST API in Access Management > API Keys, and copy the account key.
Then create or pick a user with the Viewer role and generate a user key for it.
Add them to LevelFour
Open Connect Providers, select Redis Cloud, and paste the account key and the user key. Click Add Account API key.
Confirming it worked
The connection moves to Connected. Your first data appears within a day.
Rotating or removing access
Rotating the credential
Generate a new user key in Redis Cloud, paste it into Connect Providers, then delete the old key. Changing the account key requires a Redis support request.
Removing access
Disconnect Redis Cloud under Connect Providers, then delete the user key from Redis Cloud's Access Management.
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | What to do |
|---|---|
| The connection fails with a permission error on the cost report | Some accounts need a Redis support request to turn on cost report access, separately from the REST API itself. Contact Redis support and ask them to enable it |
| The API key fields are missing entirely | The REST API is off by default. An account Owner has to turn it on first, in Access Management |
| Network cost looks late or missing for a Pro subscription | Pro network costs can lag up to 72 hours and were not tracked before November 2025 |
