Slack billing
Slack publishes no API for cost data. This is not measured usage. It is the contract amount you enter, spread across each month.
Prerequisites
None. Anyone with access to Connect Providers can add it.
Connect
Add your Slack contract in LevelFour
Open Connect Providers, select Slack billing, and enter your monthly amount, its currency, and a start date. Add an end date if your contract will end on a known date.
Save it
Click Save. There is nothing else to configure.
Confirming it worked
The connection moves to Connected, and the amount appears in your cost views under Slack. Your first data appears within a day.
Rotating or removing access
There is no credential involved. To change the amount, edit the entry under Connect Providers. To stop it, either set an end date or disconnect it.
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | What to do |
|---|---|
| The amount does not match your latest invoice | Update the entry under Connect Providers. LevelFour has no way to read Slack's billing directly, so it only knows what you last entered |
| You need it to stop appearing after a renewal date | Set an end date rather than disconnecting early, so history up to that date is preserved |
